Abbey – 2 Year Fixed Rate Savings Bond

Abbey, the financial services company now part of the Santader Group, is currently offering a Two Year Fixed Rate Savings Bond yielding a 4.15% gross/AER on a sum of at least £25,000.

Features, as described on the abbey.com website:

  • if you invest £1 to £9,999 you get 3.50% gross/AER
  • if you invest £10,000 to £24,999 you get 3.75% gross/AER
  • if you invest £25,000 up to £2,000,000 you get 4.15% gross/AER
  • No further funds can be added after opening
  • Available to new and existing Abbey customers
  • Matures 1st July 2011

NatWest – 1 Year Fixed Rate Bond

If you have £ 5,000 or more to invest then you can have a look at the 1 Year Fixed Rate Bond by NatWest.

As described on NatWest’s website (natwest.com), this bond starts on 08 July 2009, but it is only available on a first come, first served basis. So, it might be withdrawn sooner.

NatWest 1 Year Fixed Rate Bond pays annual interest of 2.75% Gross/AER for balances of £5,000 to £49,999 and 3.20% Gross/AER for balances over £50,000.

No partial withdrawals are allowed.

An early closure of the Bond will incur an early redemption fee equivalent to 60 days Gross interest.
