First direct named the best current account provider
On 27th January 2011 first direct (firstdirect.com) was announced as the winner of the Best Current Account Provider Award at the Consumer Moneyfacts Awards held at the Guoman Tower Hotel in London. Industry professionals from leading financial services and utility providers gathered at the event hosted by television presenter Mark Durden-Smith.
The best product is not always the cheapest as sometimes benefits can be overlooked. These awards showcase the technically good products and also those that carry consumer approval.
The Moneyfacts Consumer Awards combined honest consumer feedback with the technically elite products to reveal the best ‘all rounder’.
The survey went to over 1.4 million people, making it one of the largest annual surveys of its kind.
