Clydesdale and Yorkshire Banks launch new Term Deposit account

Clydesdale (cbonline.co.uk) and Yorkshire (ybonline.co.uk) Banks have launched new rates of up to 4.25% AER on their Term Deposit account.

The account is aimed at those who want to put away a lump sum and don’t want to make any withdrawals or additional deposits.

The key features of the account are:

  • Guaranteed interest rates – up to 4.25% AER (4.63% Gross) if held for the full 5 year term.
  • Range of savings terms, from 3, 6 and 12 months to 2, 3 and 5 years.
  • Minimum opening deposit £2,000, up to £5,000,000.
  • Interest capitalised and paid annually, or on maturity.

Interest payment can be monthly or annual.

Interest Rates (AER %pa) are as follows:

  • 3 months = 1.00%
  • 6 months = 1.45%
  • 12 Months = 2.75%
  • 2 Years = 3.10%
  • 3 Years = 3.80%
  • 5 Years = 4.25%

The Term Deposit account is available to new and existing customers of Clydesdale and Yorkshire Banks.
