first direct named best provider in the market by MoneySupermarket.com

first direct (firstdirect.com) has been named best provider in the 2011 market by MoneySupermarket.com.
On 9 January 2012 MoneySupermarket.com announced the winners of their inaugural awards, the ‘Supers’, for banks and building societies that offer the best products and services to customers.
The awards for 2011 financial products include six categories; Best Provider for Credit Cards, Current Accounts, Savings, Mortgages, Loans and for the Overall Best Provider in the Market.
first direct won the MoneySupermarket.com ‘Overall Best Provider in the Market’ award.
The winners of the awards were decided based a number of factors, including:
- popularity of products across the MoneySupermarket.com site
- appearance in newspaper best buy tables
- results of the MoneySupermaket customer service survey.
A panel of judges determined the final winners, taking into account:
- product range in each category
- product features, terms and conditions
- market innovation.
